Redbud Pediatrics Wichita KS About Us 2

Our Story

Helping Children Thrive

Redbud Pediatrics was opened by Dr. Rebecca Reddy as an independently owned private practice in Wichita, Kansas, in January 2012. Founded on the three pillars of high-quality pediatric-specific medicine, continuity of care, and accountability, we strive to partner with families in helping their children reach their full potential.

Our Founding Pillars

  • High-Quality

We deliver the highest quality of care by focusing on pediatric-specific medicine, which includes birth and infant care through the young adult years.

  • Continuity

We are a staunchly independent, “old-fashioned practice” where children can stay with the same pediatrician in sickness and in health throughout their entire childhood, regardless of their insurance.

  • Accountability

Our focus on accountability means we are constantly striving to provide children with better care so that important details of children’s health are not misunderstood, forgotten about or dismissed.

Our Special Milestones

  • 2012

Dr. Rebecca Reddy opened Redbud Pediatrics as an independently owned private practice in January 2012.

  • 2014

By 2014, the practice had grown large enough to add another pediatrician, and we found a rockstar! Dr. Jamie Page joined Redbud, bringing her conscientious, kind and organized practice style to her patients’ care. Soon, her schedule was full, and we sought out another pediatrician.

  • 2015

Dr. Venessa Lopez was recruited to join Redbud Pediatrics in 2015. Dr. Lopez met Dr. Reddy as a high school senior while volunteering at the Sedgwick County Health Department children’s clinic. She was already somewhat of a celebrity here in her hometown of Wichita. Her hardworking, calm and composed personality allowed Redbud Pediatrics to open a second office serving West Wichita children.

  • 2016

Katrina Hinds, a bilingual Physician Assistant-Certified (PA-C), joined Redbud Pediatrics in 2016, bringing more than 15 years of experience and passion working in women and children’s health. She is an amazing and observant clinician, identifying and improving clinical strategies and processes for patient care.

  • 2018

In 2018, the phenomenon named Dr. Giao Pham joined Redbud Pediatrics. Dr. Pham is the most energetic and positive physician any of us have ever worked with. Her cup runneth over every day with sincerity and dedication to her patients.

Later in 2018, Amanda Divine, a Primary Care Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-PC), moved to Wichita and was recommended to our practice by a former colleague of Dr. Reddy. We could not pass up the opportunity to hire an experienced pediatric trained nurse practitioner with a special enthusiasm for the care of infants and toddlers.

  • Redbud Pediatrics Wichita KS About Us 1

The 2019 year was a big year for Redbud Pediatrics. We opened our newly built east office, and we added two new providers to our practice!

Dr. Michael Su came to us after residency training at Children’s National in Washington, D.C., then working for a year in a busy pediatric urgent care in Baltimore, Maryland, while waiting for his now-wife to complete her medical school training. His thoughtful demeanor, esprit de corps, and commitment to his patients have made him such an asset to our practice.

In October, we hired a new Certified Pediatric Nurse Practitioner (CPNP-PC), Breanna Doenitz. Breanna came to us with nursing experience caring for complex pediatric patients in the hospital setting. She has the clinical judgment of a more seasoned clinician and the approachability of a puppy!

Aw Auron-Jean

I absolutely love the staff at Redbud! We have been there for a little over a year and have had nothing but great experiences with all three of my kids! I can’t say enough about Dr. Lopez! She is so genuine and treats my kids as if they were her own. I’m so glad we switched over! We couldn’t be happier with their services and care.

Lisbet Morales

Dr. Pham always takes the time to sit and speak to us about my son's development, how he is doing and what we can begin to do with him to encourage him to grow and thrive. We're always happy with the level of care we receive, and it takes no time at all to call and speak to someone with concerns between appointments. We're very happy with this office!
